Intern: Fleet Allocation Specialist

About the role#

As a Fleet Allocation Specialist intern, you will support the growth of EquipmentShare by managing the distribution of construction equipment across our branch network. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, regional managers, and local branches to ensure inventory needs are met and logistics are handled accurately. This is a full-time, on-site internship based at our corporate headquarters in Columbia, Missouri.

What you'll do#

• Allocate equipment from open orders to branch locations to support organic growth and new branch openings.
• Coordinate with suppliers to manage shipment logistics and ensure order accuracy.
• Respond to requests from local and regional teams for new fleet assets.
• Follow up with branches and manufacturers to ensure equipment attachments are received and serialized.
• Collaborate with Regional Fleet Managers to maintain stock levels and vet new inventory opportunities.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a college program, preferably in Business Administration, Logistics, or Agriculture.
• Strong drive and the ability to make intelligent, independent decisions.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
• Interest in data analytics and how data informs business decisions.
• Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
