Fleet Allocation Specialist

About the role#

The Fleet Allocation Specialist intern supports the corporate team in Columbia, MO, by managing the distribution of construction equipment across branch locations. This role is essential for maintaining inventory levels and ensuring that local branches have the necessary assets to support growth and operations.

What you'll do#

• Allocate equipment from open orders to specific branch locations to support organic growth and new branch openings.
• Coordinate logistics for shipments by interacting directly with suppliers and ensuring order accuracy.
• Respond to local and regional requests for new fleet assets.
• Collaborate with Regional Fleet Managers and local branch teams to keep inventory stocked.
• Develop and maintain relationships with both existing and new equipment manufacturers.
• Ensure attachments are received and serialized through daily follow-ups with branches and manufacturers.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a college program, preferably in Business Administration, Logistics, Agriculture, or Data Science.
• Strong drive and the ability to make intelligent, independent decisions.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
• An interest in data analytics and how data informs business decisions.
