    About the role#

    The Credit Risk Scoring Intern supports the development, monitoring, validation, and optimization of credit risk and account management scorecards. You will work across the customer lifecycle to generate insights, reporting, and recommendations that inform risk management and business decisions.

    What you'll do#

    • Analyze customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and emerging risks in acquisition, account management, and fraud strategies.
    • Develop and maintain recurring score monitoring reports, dashboards, KPI tracking, and analytical tools.
    • Support the recalibration and optimization of scorecards through quantitative analysis and performance evaluation.
    • Perform scorecard performance monitoring using statistical measures.
    • Assist in model validation, challenger model testing, and performance assessments.
    • Produce ad hoc analyses and management presentations.
    • Apply statistical methods, machine learning concepts, and data visualization to generate insights.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across Credit Risk, Fraud, AML, Product, Marketing, and Operations.
    • Contribute to reporting automation and the improvement of analytical methodologies.

    What you'll need#

    • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, or Economics.
    • Strong technical proficiency in SQL and Python.
    • Ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret large datasets.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Curiosity and initiative to develop expertise in credit risk, fraud prevention, and financial services analytics.
    • Experience with data visualization tools, cloud-based analytics platforms, machine learning, or statistical modelling is an asset.

    • Term: Winter 2027 (January to April).
    • Location: Toronto, Ontario.
    • Modality: Hybrid.
    • Commitment: Full-time.
    • Compensation: This is a paid internship.
