    About the role#

    ECC is hiring a Construction Management or Civil Engineering intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site at a project job trailer at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. This is a full-time, paid position where you will support the construction of an operations and maintenance facility, a warehouse, and site paving improvements. You will report to the Project Manager and work alongside superintendents and quality control staff.

    What you'll do#

    • Support daily construction operations and site logistics.
    • Assist with field inspections and project documentation.
    • Attend meetings with clients and subcontractors, including preparing meeting minutes.
    • Help track project progress and update schedules.
    • Maintain project records and electronic filing systems.
    • Monitor adherence to safety and quality requirements.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related degree program.
    • A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a field-based construction environment.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Jacksonville, North Carolina (Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune).
    • Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
    • Duration: Summer 2027.
    • Pay: $24.00 per hour.
    • Requirements: You must be eligible to obtain military base access and may need to operate a vehicle on the project site.
