About the role#
This student worker position supports the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences department. You will assist staff, students, and clients at the ESU Speech and Hearing Center. This is a paid, part-time role based on-site in East Stroudsburg.
What you'll do#
- Greet and support students, clients, and families.
- Maintain therapy rooms by checking inventory, cleaning equipment, and stocking clinical supplies.
- Ensure all therapy spaces meet universal precaution standards.
- Handle daily mail delivery and make copies for faculty.
- Assist professors with special events.
- Maintain a professional environment at all times.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an ESU student.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to answer phones and take messages.
- Dependability, organization, and a high degree of integrity.
- HIPAA certification.
- A positive and courteous attitude when working with a diverse staff and student body.
Location & details#
- Location: East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week, rolling term.
- Pay: $10.00 per hour.
- Requirements: You must be at least 18 years old and possess English literacy skills. Employment is contingent upon passing a background check that includes FBI fingerprinting and PA Child Abuse clearance.
