About the role#
The PSED Department is hiring a Student Worker to provide administrative support. This role involves managing the front desk and helping faculty and staff with daily operations. You will work up to 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Greet students and visitors to provide a welcoming environment.
- Manage the front desk and answer incoming calls.
- Take messages and direct calls to the appropriate person.
- Assist the secretary with general office duties like scanning, mailings, and copy requests.
- Run errands around campus, such as picking up or dropping off print requests.
- Help faculty members with administrative tasks and work on various projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an ESU student.
- At least 18 years old.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Good work ethics, attention to detail, and the ability to follow directions.
- Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, the Student Portal, and D2L.
- Academic standing in good standing.

- Work is on-site.
- Employment is subject to a background check, including FBI fingerprinting and PA Child Abuse clearance.
