About the role#
As an OASIS Reader/Scribe, you provide essential accommodations to students with documented disabilities. Your specific tasks depend on the functional limitations of the student, the course requirements, and the schedule. This is a paid, part-time student worker position.
What you'll do#
- Read test materials to students enrolled in classes.
- Provide writing support to eligible students.
- Use a clear speaking voice when reading to ensure assessment content remains neutral.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at East Stroudsburg University.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort interacting with a diverse student population.
- A commitment to assisting students with disabilities.
- Ability to pass a background check, including FBI fingerprinting and PA Child Abuse clearance.

- Location: East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Hours: Up to 20 hours per week.
- Compensation: $7.25 per hour.
