About the role#
The IT Helpdesk at East Stroudsburg University hires students to provide technical support for the campus community. This is a paid, on-site position with rolling availability. Students work between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
What you'll do#
- Answer technical questions through telephone, email, and walk-in requests.
- Assist students, faculty, and staff with software installations and account access, including password resets.
- Maintain lab hardware by checking for issues, troubleshooting printers, and replacing consumables like paper, toner, and fusers.
- Perform routine hardware troubleshooting, file recovery, and virus detection.
- Help with wireless connectivity, laptop setups, and re-imaging lab computers.
- Provide accurate information to students, staff, faculty, and parents.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an ESU student.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Excellent verbal communication and English literacy skills.
- A reliable and dependable work ethic.
- A passing grade in Personal Computers and their uses (CPSC) is a plus.
- Majors in Computer Science are welcome, but the role is open to other fields of study.

- Pay: $15.00 per hour.
- Note: Employment is contingent on passing a background check, including FBI fingerprinting, PA Child Abuse clearance, and employment or degree verifications.
