About the role#
This position supports the maintenance of campus grounds. You will work alongside staff to care for lawns, flowerbeds, and campus infrastructure. This is a part-time role with a maximum of 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Plant seeds and place fertilizer.
- Remove snow without using motorized equipment.
- Water, trim, and clean campus lawns and flowerbeds.
- Plant and care for sod, grass seed, and landscape materials.
- Clean debris from campus grounds.
- Maintain campus street and regulatory signs.
- Assist staff with cleaning roof and storm drains.
- Prune ornamental plants and trees.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current student at ESU.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be able to read and write English.
- You must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Employment is contingent on passing a background check, including FBI fingerprinting and PA Child Abuse clearance.
