About the role#
The Department of Athletics at East Stroudsburg University hires student workers to support game operations and communications. You will work with department staff and other students to ensure events run smoothly for fans, officials, and athletes. This role involves maintaining a welcoming environment at Koehler Fieldhouse and supporting various athletic events.
What you'll do#
- Operate stats software during home games.
- Run cameras and broadcast production software.
- Serve as a broadcaster, color commentator, or public address announcer.
- Assist with photography, video projects, and graphic design using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Create content for social media accounts.
- Write game recaps and update the official athletics website.
- Help maintain a safe and professional atmosphere at all events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at ESU in good academic standing for the fall or spring semester.
- Availability to work 10-20 hours per week, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to work both indoor and outdoor events, including during variable weather.
- Strong communication skills and a personable, reliable approach.
- Integrity, professionalism, and the ability to solve problems under pressure.
- Must be at least 18 years old with English literacy skills.
- Majors in Communications, Media Studies, or Graphic Design are preferred.
