About the role#
We are looking for a Financial Operations Intern to join our Finance and Accounting teams. You will gain hands-on experience with billing, cash application, collections, and partner payment processes. This is a part-time position at approximately 30 hours per week, reporting to the Revenue Lead.
What you'll do#
- Support collections efforts by engaging with customers to resolve payment issues.
- Apply customer payments to accounts and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare reports on payment status, cash reconciliations, and key metrics.
- Support month-end close activities by reconciling Accounts Receivable.
- Monitor and respond to Zendesk tickets related to billing and payments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer payment inquiries and assist with audit documentation.
- Help develop new processes to improve the efficiency of the order-to-cash cycle.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with financial or billing software such as Salesforce, Sage Intacct, Zuora, or Zendesk.
- Experience with or exposure to AI-powered tools.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Location & details#
- This role is fully remote.
- The internship is paid at an hourly rate of $18 to $25 per hour.
- You will receive company-provided technology to perform your work.
- This is a temporary, part-time position and is not eligible for the full-time employee benefits package.
