About the role#
Dudek is hiring a part-time Cultural Resources Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This position supports our team in Mission Viejo and at our Carlsbad lab facility. You will work 8 to 20 hours per week, depending on your schedule and availability.
What you'll do#
- Assist teams with archaeological and anthropological field, library, database, and laboratory tasks.
- Participate in surveys, excavations, monitoring, research, and curatorial work.
- Take comprehensive notes during field and lab activities.
- Collaborate with crew members, supervisors, and clients to complete project tasks.
What you'll need#
- At least 2 years of college course work in anthropology, archaeology, geology, or a related field.
- Knowledge of California cultural histories and the ability to identify local cultural materials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to read topographic and project maps.
- A valid California driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a willingness to travel.
- The ability to work in extreme climatic conditions and navigate uneven terrain.

- Compensation: $18.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
