About the role#
DS Sports Ventures is looking for a Marketing & Merchandise Intern for the Summer 2027 season. This role supports the USA Tournament Series across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, Connecticut, and New York. You will work with the President and administration to build brand awareness, manage event merchandise, and execute marketing strategies for youth baseball and softball tournaments.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the development and implementation of business marketing plans for tournaments, showcases, and team scout days.
- Create and contribute marketing ideas, including content strategies and planning.
- Produce new content such as staff interviews and personal testimonies.
- Collaborate with the Event Operations and Digital Content Producer to capture and post content during games.
- Manage all aspects of event merchandising, including inventory, setup, and point of sale operations at remote locations.
- Design apparel and hats.
- Attend all required Google Meets meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current studies in Marketing or Business Administration.
- General experience with social media platforms.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of how to score baseball and softball games.
- A reliable automobile for travel to tournament locations.
- Willingness to stay in hotels overnight.
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
- A friendly and professional disposition.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May 21 to August 16).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment Type: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. Hotel accommodations are provided for events requiring travel of 100+ miles one way.
