About the role#
DS Sports Ventures is looking for a Marketing & Merchandise Intern for the Summer 2027 season. This role supports our youth baseball tournament series across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, Connecticut, and New York. You will work with our administration and event operations teams to build brand awareness, manage merchandise, and grow our social media presence. This is an unpaid, full-time hybrid internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist the President and administration in developing and implementing business marketing plans for tournaments, showcases, and team scout days.
- Create and execute marketing strategies, including content planning.
- Produce new content, such as personal testimonies, staff interviews, and partnership highlights.
- Collaborate with the Digital Content Producer to capture event content.
- Manage merchandise operations, including inventory, event setup, point-of-sale systems, and apparel design.
- Attend all scheduled Google Meets meetings.
- Post updates to social media platforms during live games.
What you'll need#
- Current studies in Marketing or Business Administration.
- General experience with social media platforms.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of how to score baseball and softball games.
- A reliable automobile for travel to tournament locations.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to manage your own time.
- A friendly and professional disposition.
- Willingness to stay overnight in hotels as required by the event schedule.
