About the role#
DS Sports Ventures is looking for a Game Day Operations Intern to support our youth baseball tournaments throughout the summer of 2027. You will gain direct experience in event logistics and venue management by overseeing operations at your assigned field. This role requires travel to various tournament locations across the Northeast.
What you'll do#
- Manage all tournament activities at your assigned field, often working independently.
- Oversee 4-6 games per day, ensuring they start on time and stay within the 2-hour limit.
- Prepare the home plate and pitcher’s mound between games if a field crew is not present.
- Confirm that umpires and teams arrive on schedule.
- Track every pitch, play, and substitution using the Game Changer app.
- Report final scores to the tournament director via text message.
- Create and post game highlights and content to social media.
- Represent the organization professionally to all participants and families.
- Attend all required Google Meets meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Event, Operations, or Sports Management program.
- A strong understanding of baseball or softball rules and scoring.
- Ability to post content to social media platforms during live games.
- A reliable vehicle for travel to tournament sites.
- Strong time management skills and a self-starting attitude.
- A professional and friendly communication style.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May 21 to August 16).
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: This is a paid position with hotel accommodations provided for those traveling over 100 miles.
