About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Austin, Texas. The program runs during the winter of 2028, specifically from January through mid-March. You will work on-site at the office to gain experience during the busy season. Please note that this role requires a commitment of 55 or more hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Complete a structured onboarding and training program.
- Participate in all phases of an audit, including planning, fieldwork, and financial statement preparation.
- Collaborate with an audit team to help complete more than 35 audits.
- Prepare draft audit reports for review and feedback.
- Manage work across multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Meet regularly with your in-charge to review progress.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an accounting major.
- Progress toward the credit-hour requirements needed to sit for the CPA exam.
- A cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Completion of at least one intermediate accounting course before the internship begins is preferred.
- Ability to take leave from spring semester classes.
- Reliable transportation to and from the office.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
- Entrepreneurial, hardworking, and adaptable approach.
- Strong critical-thinking skills and a willingness to take on new and challenging assignments.
