About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join our R&D Essential Oils team in Pleasant Grove, Utah. This is a part-time, on-site position. You will work directly in our laboratory, supporting our team with oil blending, testing, and daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Batch oil blends for formulations and sample requests.
- Submit samples to our analytical laboratories for chemical, physical, and stability testing.
- Manage laboratory operations, including supply orders, inventory records, and waste management.
- Test the solubility and scale-up of raw natural materials.
- Complete other tasks as directed by the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or a completed bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, nutrition, food science, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience working in a laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and take initiative on tasks.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to stand and work in a lab for multiple hours at a time.
- Ability to smell and taste essential oils and tolerate strong scents for extended periods.
