About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain professional experience within the transportation department at Dot Transportation, Inc. You will work on-site during the Summer 2027 term. The role requires a commitment of at least 350 hours and includes participation in training events and potential for minimal overnight travel.
What you'll do#
- Train and job-shadow across departments to understand company workflows and business needs.
- Take ownership of assigned projects, including participation in a team project with other interns.
- Define problems, conduct research, collect data, and perform analysis to determine effective processes.
- Review, update, and track various reports.
- Use lean tools to identify and eliminate waste.
- Present your project findings and recommendations at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited college or university, with a minimum 3.0 cumulative G.P.A.
- Pursuit of a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to travel without restriction.
