This is a full-time, paid legal internship based in San Francisco for the Fall 2026 term. The role focuses on intellectual property, patent litigation, and licensing compliance within a professional legal department.
What you'll do#
- Conduct legal research regarding licensing and patent infringement or enforcement.
- Analyze the patent litigation landscape and assist with litigation preparation.
- Support license compliance matters.
- Help business stakeholders understand contractual requirements and the applicable legal landscape.
- Develop and implement improved policies and processes for the legal department.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a graduate law degree program (JD or LLM) at an accredited law school, or recent graduation within the last six months.
- A strong interest in patents and intellectual property law.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a professional, dependable attitude.
- Proficiency with online research tools, including Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis, and Bloomberg.
- Ability to research complex legal and business issues and learn new concepts quickly.

- Location: San Francisco, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Full-time (Monday – Friday) for 6 months, starting September 21, 2026.
- Academic background: Preferred majors include Business Administration, Political Science, or Philosophy.
