    About the role#

    DMA is seeking a Property Tax Compliance Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role provides support to the department by assisting with the personal property compliance process for existing clients.

    What you'll do#

    • Prepare tax returns and ensure the timely completion of assigned work.
    • Research and review jurisdictional tax notices and tax bills.
    • Process tax bills, funding requests, and payments.
    • Analyze property tax data and prepare returns for assigned clients.
    • Communicate with taxing jurisdictions and respond to client inquiries.
    • Assist with document management and special projects as assigned.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle high-volume work accurately and on schedule.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to quickly learn tax compliance software.
