The Business Development Intern supports the practice development team by assisting with outreach, research, and the coordination of prospective client activities. This role offers exposure to the sales process, client engagement strategies, and service offerings while contributing to ongoing business development initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Assist with outreach to prospective clients via phone and email.
- Help coordinate and prepare for meetings, including calendar scheduling and materials preparation.
- Support practice development leaders in executing outreach strategies and tracking engagement.
- Research prospective clients and industries to identify potential business needs and opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and update internal systems.
- Collaborate with marketing and business development teams on various projects.
- Participate in internal meetings to gain an understanding of company services and sales processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in sales, business development, or client-facing roles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Location: Indianapolis, Indiana.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time (29 hours per week).
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
