About the role#
Denver Health is accepting applications for a 1-year Breast Imaging Fellowship for the 2027-2028 academic year. This program provides training in a clinical environment at an academic health system affiliated with the University of Colorado School of Medicine. The fellowship focuses on developing skilled breast imagers through a balance of study volume, dedicated screening time, and procedure experience.
What you'll do#
- Provide comprehensive breast imaging care.
- Participate in screening and diagnostic mammography including 2D, 3D, and contrast-enhanced mammography.
- Perform breast ultrasound and breast MRI.
- Execute image-guided breast interventional procedures, such as biopsies and localizations.
- Engage in multidisciplinary tumor board discussions.
- Supervise and educate residents on service.
- Participate in scholarly activities related to clinical research, social media outreach, or health policy.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited radiology residency program.
- Board eligibility or board certification in diagnostic radiology by the start of the fellowship.
- Current MD-Physician license from a State Medical Board.
- Valid BLS-Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Eligibility for medical staff appointment at Denver Health.
- Eligibility for an instructor fellow appointment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
