Test Automation Developer - Fall 2026 Co-op/Intern

About the role#

Definity is seeking a technical student to join the Quality Engineering team for a 4-month co-op placement during the Fall 2026 term. This role focuses on the validation and verification of software systems and data within an Agile environment. You will work across multiple technology spaces to support projects and infrastructure, contributing to common QA, DevOps, and development goals.

What you'll do#

• Identify test scenarios, create and execute test cases, and write automated test scripts.
• Design and script automated tests for Web and Mobile applications.
• Perform data seeding, data masking, and data analysis.
• Analyze and report on testing results.
• Leverage AI throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate within an Agile team to maintain quality standards and improve QE capabilities.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Computer Science or related academic program.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Hands-on experience using SQL for data querying.
• Proficiency working with JSON and XML data formats.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLM), Machine Learning (ML), and Generative AI (GenAI).
• Experience consuming REST or SOAP APIs is considered an asset.
• Experience with mobile browser and application testing (Android, iOS) and test automation frameworks is an asset.

• Compensation: Starts at $22.50 per hour, adjusted based on skills, education, and experience.
