About the role#
This is a four month co-op placement for the Winter 2027 term. You will report to the Senior Sustainability Integration Manager and assist with initiatives across sustainability, IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility), and community investment. This role is paid and full-time.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assist with climate project deliverables.
- Coordinate projects related to employee engagement and inclusion.
- Manage grant administration tasks.
- Analyze data to identify social impact themes and trends.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Sustainability, Environment, Community Development, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data using Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and champion new ideas.
- A results-oriented mindset with project management skills and a commitment to deadlines.
- Comfort working both as a team player and independently.
- A passion for shaping a more sustainable, connected, and equitable world.
Location & details#
- Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Compensation: Starts at $22.50 per hour, with potential for increases based on skills, education, and experience.
- Requirement: Successful clearance of a background check, including criminal checks and leadership references.
