Insurance Representative - Fall 2026 Co-op/Intern

About the role#

This position supports the Broker Services team by assisting brokers and internal stakeholders with Guidewire-related inquiries and transaction processing. You will work under the guidance of a Team Leader to ensure all activities align with established underwriting guidelines and authority levels. This is a full-time, 8-month co-op placement.

What you'll do#

• Deliver customer service support for broker and internal stakeholder inquiries.
• Process transactions not covered by broker self-service, such as letters of experience, returned mail, and cancellations.
• Review and assess risk for acceptability in lower-complexity scenarios.
• Provide data entry support and manage case categorization within the electronic case management system.
• Ensure all transactions meet quality and efficiency standards.
• Escalate complex inquiries or transactions that fall outside established authority levels with well-documented business cases.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or completed a university degree or college diploma in Business or Finance.
• Knowledge of insurance and underwriting principles.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent people skills.
• Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively.
• Completion of or progress toward a CIP designation is preferred.
