Insurance Representative - Fall 2026 Co-op/Intern

About the role#

As an Insurance Representative, you will work within the Broker Services team to provide support to Brokers and internal stakeholders. This role focuses on Guidewire processing, transaction management, and providing high-quality customer service. You will operate under established underwriting guidelines and consult with senior team members for complex scenarios that exceed your authority level.

What you'll do#

• Process transactions not enabled by broker self-service functionality, such as cancellations, returned mail, and letters of experience.
• Review and assess risk for acceptability in lower-complexity scenarios.
• Manage intake and triage by reviewing incoming emails and cases to identify risk types and categorize them within the case management system.
• Update existing policy cases when new information is received from Brokers.
• Escalate inquiries and transactions that fall outside of your established authority levels by preparing well-documented business cases.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment or recent completion of a University degree or College diploma in Business or Finance.
• Knowledge of insurance or underwriting principles.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, combined with effective problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Preference is given to candidates who hold or are working toward a CIP designation.

• Term: Fall 2026 (8-month duration).

• Compensation: Starting at $22.50 per hour, with potential for increases based on skills, education, and experience.
