About the role#
Dee Zee is hiring a Software Development Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work within our development team to support business applications in a manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Des Moines, Iowa. The internship runs from June 1, 2027, through September 3, 2027, with some flexibility for start and end dates.
What you'll do#
- Write, test, and debug software applications.
- Help integrate different business applications.
- Maintain and update SQL Server databases and reporting tools.
- Take part in code reviews and manage documentation within source control.
- Work with the team to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Build small-scale projects that improve business efficiency.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Familiarity with C#, VB.NET, or JavaScript.
- A solid understanding of relational databases and SQL, specifically Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to learn quickly and work both independently and with a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, or Git is helpful.
- An interest in software development for manufacturing or business systems.
