About the role#
Dedalus Labs builds persistent computers for AI agents. We are looking for engineers to join us in San Francisco for a full-time, three-month internship. You will work directly with our team on real infrastructure projects. You will take ownership of tasks, write production-quality code, and investigate difficult technical problems. We review applications on a rolling basis and invite high-potential engineers to join us throughout the year.
What you'll do#
- Build core compute and runtime primitives for AI agents.
- Develop virtualization, sandboxing, and isolation systems.
- Implement persistent state, storage, snapshotting, and recovery mechanisms.
- Develop low-latency scheduling and resource-management systems.
- Build networking and runtime infrastructure.
- Create profiling, debugging, benchmarking, and performance tooling.
- Write production-quality code in Rust, Go, C, or C++.
What you'll need#
- Sophomore standing or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong programming fundamentals.
- Experience building and debugging software in Rust, Go, C, or C++.
- Exposure to systems through coursework, research, open source, or self-directed projects.
- Curiosity about how operating systems, networks, storage, and runtimes work.
- Ability to investigate difficult bugs and reason clearly about tradeoffs.
- High agency, a capacity for fast learning, and a commitment to end-to-end ownership.
