About the role#
This co-op or internship position at Dayton-Phoenix Group allows students to apply their classroom knowledge in a professional manufacturing setting. You will gain industry experience while working on 1st shift at our Dayton location.
What you'll do#
- Create and revise engineering documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and engineering changes.
- Investigate routings and bills of materials.
- Identify and explore process improvement opportunities.
- Support the production floor through cost improvement initiatives and 5S+ audits.
- Perform updates within the ERP system.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering program, preferably Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time well, and work independently.
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
- Experience with time studies and technical writing is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in Dayton, Ohio.
- This position is paid and full-time.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including steel-toe shoes and safety glasses.
- The role involves physical activity, such as walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
