About the role#
Dayforce is seeking an AI Developer Intern to contribute to an AI-powered testing platform designed to streamline implementation workflows. This role focuses on reducing manual testing efforts by developing intelligent automation solutions. You will work alongside software engineers and implementation consultants to prototype and deploy AI-driven features that directly impact implementation efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, and enhance features within an AI-powered test automation platform.
- Collaborate with implementation consultants to map manual testing workflows and identify automation opportunities.
- Develop AI-driven workflows using technologies such as Azure OpenAI, LangChain, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic AI frameworks.
- Build capabilities for automated test case generation, execution, and intelligent analysis of test results.
- Develop backend services using Python and SQL while contributing to front-end functionality using React and JavaScript.
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of automation by tracking metrics such as implementation hours saved, test coverage improvements, and defect detection.
- Document technical solutions and communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Working knowledge of SQL, including joins, aggregations, and query optimization.
- Experience developing web applications using JavaScript; experience with React is considered an asset.
- Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and generative AI concepts.
- Experience with REST APIs and modern software development practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Term: Fall 2026 (8 months, September 2026 to April 2027).
- Commitment: Full-time (37.5 to 40 hours per week).
- Compensation: Paid internship.
