About the role#
The Sponsorship Assistant Internship provides hands-on experience in professional sports business. You will work directly with the Corporate Partnerships team to support revenue-generating initiatives, partner research, and sponsorship fulfillment. This role is intended for students seeking to build a career in sports sales and marketing. You will gain exposure to partnership strategy, CRM management, and professional networking within the Dallas PULSE organization.
What you'll do#
- Draft, update, and format sponsorship proposals and pitch decks.
- Research potential partners, local businesses, and community organizations.
- Manage CRM records, sponsorship databases, and sales tracking reports.
- Coordinate sponsorship deliverables, including asset collection and proof-of-performance documentation.
- Organize contracts, digital files, and partnership records.
- Work with Community Relations and Marketing teams to gather proposal content.
- Assist with game day and event operations like tabling and signage placement.
- Shadow executives during client meetings and sponsor hospitality events.
- Provide administrative support through scheduling and email drafting.
- Prepare weekly reports on outreach and partnership activity.

- Must receive college credit for this internship.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace apps.
- Ability to use AI tools for research, presentation development, and proposal creation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational habits.
- Comfort making outbound sales calls.
- A positive attitude and interest in sports and entertainment.
- A passion for growing volleyball in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
- Ability to handle rejection and remain persistent.
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or athletics is helpful.
- Enrollment in a degree program such as Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
