About the role#
This paid internship offers students a chance to learn about the financial services industry at an employee-owned firm. Over nine weeks, you will work directly with experienced Financial Advisors in a branch office. You will observe how a professional practice operates and gain hands-on experience by supporting advisors and their clients. The program includes a dedicated week at our corporate office in Seattle where you will meet with Executive and Senior Leadership. Participants also have the opportunity to study for and sit for the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials exam.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside Financial Advisors to support client needs.
- Collaborate on projects that assist the branch team.
- Observe the day-to-day operations of an ethical financial practice.
- Participate in an immersive week of presentations and team building at our corporate office.
- Prepare for and take the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials exam.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least your sophomore year of college by June 2027.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong academic performance and professional drive.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to commit to the full nine-week program.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Ability to live in the local area of the branch office for the duration of the program.
- Successful completion of background, reference, and credit checks.

- This is an on-site, part-time position for Summer 2027.
- Locations include Pasadena and Ventura, CA; Colorado Springs, CO; Bozeman, Great Falls, and Missoula, MT; Lincoln, NE; Salt Lake City, UT; Oklahoma City, OK; Lake Oswego, OR; and Bellevue, Seattle, and Spokane, WA.
- Transportation and moving assistance are not provided.
