About the role#
The Financial Institutions Group at D.A. Davidson is hiring for a Summer Analyst position for the summer of 2027. This is a 10-week, full-time internship program based in our Chicago office. You will work alongside deal teams on mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and private placements. This program serves as a pipeline for our permanent Analyst roles.
What you'll do#
- Research and prepare materials for pitch books and client presentations.
- Build financial models to analyze specific client projects.
- Assist senior investment bankers with business development.
- Collaborate with team members ranging from peer analysts to managing directors.
- Maintain and update the internal deal and contact database.
- Support deal teams with daily operational tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a college junior.
- A minimum 3.5 GPA.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A general interest in and understanding of financial concepts.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong work ethic and the flexibility to work nights or weekends when deal flow requires it.
