About the role#
This paid, full-time internship offers a 10-week program for students to gain hands-on experience in retail store management. You will work directly with store leaders to learn how to manage teams, engage with customers, and handle daily operations. The program is designed for students who want to pursue a career in retail management.
What you'll do#
- Partner with Store Managers and retail leaders to learn leadership best practices.
- Gain exposure to staffing, talent development, customer engagement, and operational excellence.
- Complete a business-focused project that addresses an opportunity within the assigned store and present your findings to leadership.
- Support operational activities such as merchandise handling, inventory management, and stocking.
- Analyze business performance to understand how operational decisions impact store results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date between May 2027 and May 2028.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration or Operations Management.
- 1-3 years of customer service experience in a busy work environment.
- Ability to work 35 hours per week for the full 10-week program, including evenings and weekends.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in retail store management.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role located in Bolingbrook, Naperville, Brookfield, or Chicago, Illinois.
- The program takes place during Summer 2027.
- This position is paid.
