About the role#
This is a paid, 10-week summer internship for students interested in a career in retail store management. You will work alongside store managers and district leaders to learn the day-to-day operations of a retail location. This role provides direct exposure to leadership, business analysis, and the customer experience.
What you'll do#
- Lead a retail team and engage directly with customers.
- Learn the operational side of a successful store, including merchandise handling, inventory management, and stocking.
- Complete a business-focused project that addresses a real business opportunity and present your findings to leadership.
- Analyze business performance to understand how strategic decisions affect store results.
- Support the store during busy periods, including evenings and weekends.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor's degree program, with an expected graduation between May 2027 and May 2028.
- A major in Business Administration or a related field.
- 1-3 years of customer service experience.
- Availability to work 35 hours per week for the full 10-week program.
- An interest in pursuing a long-term career in retail store management.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

- This is an on-site, full-time position.
- Locations include Oak Ridge, Walnut Cove, Pilot Mountain, Graham, Burlington, Roxboro, Winston-Salem, Clemmons, Whitsett, and Greensboro, North Carolina.
