About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition your academic training into real-world pharmacy practice. This program is designed to prepare you for a future Pharmacist role by immersing you in daily operations, patient safety protocols, and clinical service delivery. You will work under the guidance of preceptors and district leaders to complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of your graduation.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy teams in delivering our brand promise through consistent application of company standard operating procedures.
- Assist with prescription fulfillment, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workflows.
- Provide caring service to patients, which includes fielding medical questions, offering counseling under pharmacist supervision, and taking telephonic prescriptions from prescribers.
- Deliver patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, including educating patients about vaccines and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Perform inventory activities such as cycle counts, processing returns, and managing medication deliveries.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members to foster a high-performing environment.
- Deepen your knowledge of quality assurance, drug utilization review, and error prevention.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the training program.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure.
- 1+ years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting is preferred.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
