About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice while preparing for a full Pharmacist role. You will work under the direction of your preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation. This role focuses on deepening your understanding of patient safety, quality assurance, and pharmacy operations while you provide caring service to patients.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy operations across production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workstations.
- Offer to counsel patients and field medical questions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Complete basic inventory activities, including cycle counts and returns-to-stocks.
- Follow company standard operating procedures to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Assist with patient health care services, such as immunizations, where permitted by law.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program.
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
- Valid intern and/or technician licensure.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication, mathematical reasoning, and problem resolution.
- Ability to remain mobile for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
