About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition your academic training into real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap within 120 days of graduation. This role focuses on deepening your understanding of pharmacy operations, patient safety, and clinical standards while preparing you for a future Pharmacist position.
What you'll do#
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures across production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off stations to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Counsel patients, field medical questions, and solicit medical history information under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and facilitate medication changes where permitted by law.
- Perform inventory tasks including cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and waiting bin inventories.
- Administer immunizations and conduct point-of-care testing in accordance with state regulations and training.
- Maintain pharmacy standards by adhering to company procedures and supporting team operations.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program.
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Capacity to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, reaching, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
