About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition your academic learning into real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader to prepare for a future Pharmacist role. This position involves completing a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation, covering store, district, and regional operations. You will gain hands-on experience in patient safety, quality assurance, and pharmacy professional standards.
What you'll do#
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Assist the pharmacy team in ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Offer to counsel patients and field medical questions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain patient privacy and security in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Support pharmacy operations by following company standard operating procedures.
- Engage with patients to provide caring service and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the training program.
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
