About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide care to patients. You will help maintain a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while gaining professional experience. This role involves managing pharmacy operations, including patient safety, quality assurance, inventory, and workflow. You will also participate in patient care programs and support a team culture focused on empathy and compassion.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients while following all regulatory requirements.
- Manage pharmacy tasks such as inventory, workflow, and quality assurance.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to keep customers healthy.
- Lead with empathy and collaborate with your team to deliver positive outcomes.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Align your work with the company purpose and promote a positive team environment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, reaching, and stooping.
- Visual acuity for reading, transcribing, and visual inspection.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
- Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are preferred.
