Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering care to patients while gaining professional experience in a pharmacy setting. You will be part of a team dedicated to managing patient health through various care programs and daily pharmacy operations.

What you'll do#

• Ensure patient safety and maintain professional pharmacy standards.
• Manage pharmacy workflow, excluding final prescription verification.
• Handle inventory and regulatory requirements.
• Support patient care programs to improve health outcomes.
• Provide immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Demonstrate empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Foster a team culture centered on energy, enthusiasm, and pride.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach overhead, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs.
• Manual dexterity for typing and handling small items.
• Ability to complete all required training within state-mandated timeframes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and immunization eligibility are preferred.

• Employment Type: Part-time.
• Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
