About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy. You will gain professional experience while ensuring a safe environment for patients. This role involves managing pharmacy workflows, inventory, and regulatory requirements while delivering care to customers.
What you'll do#
- Maintain a safe and effective pharmacy environment.
- Manage inventory and pharmacy workflows.
- Support patient care programs.
- Provide immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Assist patients, caregivers, and colleagues with empathy and compassion.
- Collaborate with your team to promote a positive work culture.
- Ensure all pharmacy practice and quality assurance standards are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity.
- Immunization eligibility is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
