About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You are responsible for delivering patient care programs and ensuring quality service. This role allows you to gain professional experience while contributing to the daily operations of our pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Maintain a safe and effective pharmacy work environment.
- Deliver patient care programs to help customers and patients.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, customers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with team members to improve health outcomes.
- Foster a positive team culture.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain mobile, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to perform tasks like scanning, bagging, and reaching for items.
- Ability to orally communicate instructions to customers and colleagues.
