About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will deliver care to patients, manage inventory, and handle workflow tasks, excluding final prescription verification. This role focuses on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance while you gain professional experience in a clinical setting.
What you'll do#
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient care.
- Manage patient care programs to support health outcomes.
- Support team culture by demonstrating empathy, compassion, and enthusiasm.
- Assist with inventory and workflow management.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver consistent results.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs, remain upright for extended periods, reach overhead, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
