About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world pharmacy practice. You will follow a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for a future role as a Pharmacist. This position involves working under the direction of a preceptor to gain experience in pharmacy operations, patient care, and team leadership.
What you'll do#
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and providing caring service.
- Offer to counsel patients, field medical questions, and solicit medical history.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and communicate with prescribers to clarify orders.
- Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and putting away deliveries.
- Deliver patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where allowed by law.
- Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions while reviewing and collecting patient information.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Flexibility to work in your home store and travel to other locations across the market as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- 1+ years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting is preferred.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
