About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy. You will focus on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance while gaining hands-on experience in a clinical setting. This role requires a commitment to patient care and a willingness to contribute to a positive team environment.
What you'll do#
- Manage pharmacy workflow, excluding final prescription verification.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure a safe, effective work environment.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to improve health outcomes.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Collaborate with team members to foster a culture of empathy and care.
- Assist with customer service and communicate instructions clearly to patients and colleagues.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Availability to work nights and weekends.
- Ability to remain upright for extended periods and perform tasks requiring precision control.
- Capacity to lift, scan, and bag items, including occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and immunization eligibility are preferred.
