About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering patient care, managing pharmacy operations, and supporting the pharmacy team. This position offers an opportunity to gain professional experience while working toward your pharmacy degree.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to every patient and manage patient care programs.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the team to improve outcomes and promote a culture of energy and pride.
- Assist with pharmacy practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and inventory management.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Communicate information and instructions clearly to colleagues and customers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach overhead, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and precision control.
- Ability to lift, scan, and bag items, including occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
