About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will bridge the gap between your pharmacy school education and real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role focuses on developing your clinical skills, operational knowledge, and leadership abilities as you prepare for a future career as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Complete a structured training roadmap including key learning experiences and activities.
- Assist the pharmacy team with prescription fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and safety by following standard operating procedures.
- Provide caring service to patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone.
- Offer to counsel patients, field medical questions, and take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers.
- Perform inventory activities such as cycle counts and managing medication deliveries.
- Deliver patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law.
- Educate patients about vaccines and monitor for potential adverse reactions.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Travel to other stores in the market as needed to support business operations.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or in the process of obtaining, a valid intern or technician license.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, reaching, and typing.
- Capability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to solve problems in a team environment.
- Proficiency in mathematical reasoning for prescription calculations.

- Employment: Part-time, rolling term.
- Compensation: This position is paid, with a typical pay range of $20.00 to $23.75 per hour.
