About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. You help maintain a safe environment while delivering care to patients. This role involves managing pharmacy workflows, inventory, and regulatory compliance. You will also participate in patient care programs and contribute to a team culture focused on service and collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment.
- Provide care to patients and assist with immunization services once eligible.
- Manage inventory and pharmacy workflows, excluding final prescription verification.
- Uphold regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Collaborate with the team to improve patient outcomes and maintain a positive, professional atmosphere.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring precision and manual dexterity.
Location & details#
- Location: Lawrence, Kansas.
- Schedule: Part-time, rolling term.
- Compensation: $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
- Work Modality: On-site.
