About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will follow a structured training roadmap to learn pharmacy operations and prepare for future responsibilities as a pharmacist. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will assist the team in maintaining smooth operations while gaining exposure to store, district, and regional workflows.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap to learn pharmacy team functions.
- Assist with prescription fulfillment to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures and workflow protocols at every workstation.
- Provide patient care by offering counseling, fielding medical questions, and reviewing medical histories.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Perform basic inventory tasks such as cycle counts, returns, and stocking deliveries.
- Provide coaching and training to pharmacy team members.
- Deliver patient services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and privacy standards.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- At least 1 year of experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Capacity to remain mobile and upright for extended periods.
- Strong active listening skills and the ability to pivot between tasks quickly.
- Mathematical skills for calculating dosages and prescription supplies.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
